Various workshops are held each day that focuses on specific areas of interest to kids. Different activities are held each term so repeat children learn something new each time. Topics include the following:
Little Millionaires
Teaching children and giving them a good foundation about money matters that is essential for their personal development. Showing children the basics such as how to budget, learn, spend and save that will establish good money habits for life. This program will help kids to develop good financial skills from an early age that will equip them to be ready for the financial challenges of adulthood.
Survival Skills
This is a fun, interactive workshop that teaches kids about how to independently survive different types of scenarios from basic everyday mishaps and accidents to extreme scenarios such as fire, getting lost in the bush, etc. It also teaches basic self defense and how to effectively deal with bullying. To us, a person is never too young to learn first aid!
Cooking Workshop
This teaches not only the basic concepts of cooking, but it also teaches how to safely and properly handle kitchen tools and equipment as well as table manners. Kids learn basic cooking concepts and techniques, and cooking simple dishes. This is conducted using practical demonstrations which make it interesting yet very informative for kids.
Baking and/or Cupcake/Cookie Decorating Workshop
This teaches not only the basic concepts of baking cupcakes, cake and or pastries, it also teaches how to decorate cupcakes- e.g. preparing the cake for icing, colouring, kneading and rolling the fondant, decorating the cake with various cutters and moulders. This is conducted using role play and practical demonstrations which make it interesting yet very informative for kids.
Science Workshop
Designed to make learning science interesting, we conduct various interactive and safe science experiments that teaches kids basic science concepts. Not only will kids get a good head start, they will surely love science when they go back to school. We will also teach kids various magic tricks which makes learning even more fun and exciting!
Performance Workshop: Singing and Dancing
This provides kids accelerated basic lessons in various performance arts such as singing, dancing, modelling, public speaking and acting. Kids will learns different dance moves such as cha-cha, waltz, tango, various singing techniques, or even learn using various musical instruments. We will cap this with a performance day to show you how effective this is not only in improving the child's skills and confidence, but show you also how kids love this.
Arts and Crafts Workshop
This teaches kids various arts and crafts such as water colour and oil painting, face painting, various styles of drawing- animae, faces, etc jewellery making, origami,mixed collage doll-making, sculpting, gifts decorating, etc. This will surely bring out and develop the artist in them!
Brain Workshop
This will provide basic techniques to help kids enhance their love for learning, and ultimately improve their academic performance. Not only will we teach kids valuable information, we will teach them how to retain them through workshops that will improve memorisation skill!. We will also provide training on speed reading, math techniques, etc.
Fashion Modelling, Jewelery Making, T shirt design and Fashion Design Workshop
This helps bring out the creative side of children. It introduces them to the techniques and art of basic fashion design, capped with a taste of it through jewellery making and t-shirt design. Kids are also taught social graces, proper posture, and hints and tips on how to be an effective fashion model. It is fun, informative and definitely geared towards bringing out the next fashion guru!
Performing Arts: Acting, Musical Theatre and Filmaking
If your child seems to love watching movies and acting, this is a good way to start bringing out the creative genious in them, and may be even discover their path for 'Hollywood' success someday ! This workshop teaches kids basic knowledge in film making including basic film editing.They will learn to interpret and bring to life a short written text for live and recorded performance. At the end of the workshop, kids will share their performance skills and new found audition confidence in a short presentation.
Indoor Sports Fest
A great way to be fit and have fun- we will play lots of sports games such as races, fun relays, obstacle courses, ball games. The games are designed to teach them games rules, discipline,sportsmanship, and coordination plus lots more!
Model Construction
Designed to bring out the kids' engineering skills, using legos, mock wood and tools, we will teach kids to design and build various models such as houses, airplanes, cars, etc.
Kids Talent Day
This is designed to bring out the celebrity in our children and help them build their confidence in public performance- we will give short talks/demos to improve children's presentation skills, and we will run competition where kids can show any talent they may have, everyone 's a winner and gets to bring home gifts and prizes!
Animation
This workshop enables students to animate drawings using a facial animation tool that uses voice and text to vividly animate facial images. Kids get to use their imagination and explore their creative skills while learning a revolutionary technology that will set them up in the future! It's easy to learn and kids love it!*
Building Robots
In this workshop students will participate in several challenges that develop team work, co-operation and communication skills. Students will be divided into teams and each team will be provided with challenges that require building and programming a robot.
Yoga for Kids
Through the practice of yoga from an early age, studies have shown that it helps to encourage self-esteem and body awareness without a competitive environment, which fosters compassion, collaboration. Yoga for kids incorporates yoga and its benefits in a fun and engaging
environment.
